The company’s namesake, Bobby Page, comes from its origin, a well-known Las Vegas jazz trumpeter and entertainer. He widely became a local stage favorite, entertaining at various resorts like Harvey's Wagon Wheel in Lake Tahoe and the Mapes Hotel in Reno. Needing his stage apparel cleaned, he used his stage name to open a dry-cleaning establishment. As his stage popularity grew, so did his dry cleaners.
Expanding to Carson City, provided an opportunity for Bobby’s daughter and son-in-law to enter the business, learn the business and then later purchase the Carson City location from Mr. Page. The Carson City location is still operational today and banners the Bobby Page's name.
For several decades, the Leid family has grown the stage name, trade marked the name, and has rapidly grown their company into the multiple locations represented throughout northern Nevada as Bobby Pages, a tribute to his musical talents.
While three generations run the operation, the family’s dry-cleaning heritage of "Industry knowledge", spans much further than that. The great, great grandfather, owned and operated what was then White House Cleaners & Laundry in California in the mid 1930’s, making him the first generation of dry cleaners and ultimately passing his skills to his daughter, Mrs. Bobby Page.
