About Middletown Rug & Carpet Cleaning Co. Started in 1962 by Del Knowles, MRCC ran as a small cleaner servicing central CT. In 1990 we, The Graskoski Family, bought MRCC. We have expanded the company greatly over the past years, covering Ct with the help of our dry cleaner associates. We are a small family-run company. We have all been in the cleaning business for many years (our newest employee has been with us since 2005). We clean over 10,000 area rugs a year. We know different rugs require special attention. OUR CLEANING PROCESS All rugs go through our 10+ step cleaning process including (but not limited to): Pre-Cleaning: Visual Assessment: Your rug is recorded and inspected to determine the best cleaning. Vacuuming Pre-spotting Pre-conditioning Cleaning: Rotary Brush Shampooing: This step assures a deep cleaning by agitating and suspending the dirt particles Extraction: Rinsing and removing the loosened dirt and shampoo, for a residue-free clean. Grooming puts the rug fibers in their most appealing position and gives your rug a uniform appearance. Post Cleaning: Overnight Drying: our building is specially designed for maximum airflow to aid in quick and thorough drying. The next morning your rug is reassessed, if we are not satisfied with the condition of your rug we start the cleaning process over again. Finally: Once your rug passes post-cleaning inspection it is vacuumed, rolled & wrapped before being sent home.
