OUR PROCESS

We pride ourselves on not following a single cookie-cutter plan for your rugs. We provide you with a customized and unique process that ensures it is completely clean and free from any stains, dirt, and bacteria. Below, we will introduce you to our process. Step 1: Thorough assessment of your rug. The most important step in the entire process is making sure that we assess it. You likely hired us because you want it clean and free from the dirt on it, but our assessment process goes further than that. During this time, our team will look for any signs of wear and tear and identify any areas on the rug that need special attention. Even if there is no damage to it, this step is critical because it allows us to evaluate it and determine how old it is, the fibers used, the weave pattern, and type of dye used. At the end of the assessment phase, our rug cleaners will note any areas of concern.

Step 2: We’ll create a customized rug cleaning plan. Once the assessment is complete and all areas of concern have been noted, we will create a customized plan that lets you know where the area of concern is, what the problem is, and the possible solutions. Often, it is enough to just hand wash it to remove all the dirt and bacteria but in some cases, it may need repairs or restorations. Should it be in need of repairs or restoration, our professionals will discuss this with you and go over what is needed. Whether it is here for a cleaning or to be repaired, we want you to know that each one of our experts is properly trained and experienced.

Step 3: We will hand wash your rug. We have a unique and specialized approach. There are no two rugs that are identical and because of this, we will utilize different methods and products to ensure a proper clean of it. Our experts will evaluate it prior to the start to determine the best method and products to use. Before ANY water is applied to it we will perform a process which uses high-powered air to remove any particles, dust, and dirt in the fibers of it. This is a safe process that ensures its fibers are not damaged. Once we have removed the excess dust and dirt, it is then hand washed by our team. We NEVER place rugs through a machine and each one is washed by hand. Our professionals ONLY use approved products on it, so you never have to worry about a harsh or dangerous chemical being used.

Step 4: We will properly dry your rug. Drying it may sound like a simple process, but it is one that is actually pretty complicated. Inexperienced rug cleaners can damage it severely due to improper drying techniques, so it is vital that you work with a professional. Some are able to be left to dry on their own while others need to have excess water removed from them immediately. Our pros will determine which drying method is best for it and properly dry it.

Step 5: Any needed repairs and restorations will be performed. After it has been cleaned and dried, our professionals will now perform all repair and restoration work. Some of the most common repairs and restorations include hemstitching, seam repairs, fringe repairs, and color touch-ups. ​

Please Note: All repair work is performed AFTER the rug has been cleaned as this gives us a good idea of what is needed. While not common, sometimes stains and spots do not appear until a rug has been cleaned. Should this occur with it, our experts will repeat the above steps to clean your rug with a special focus on removing the stains or spots and minimizing the stress on the rug’s fabric.
