OUR 9-STEP PROFESSIONAL AREA RUG CLEANING PROCESS STEP 1: PICK-UP AND PRE-INSPECTION We offer FREE AREA RUG PICK UP & DELIVERY in Amarillo or you can drop your rugs off at our location! (please call ahead) All rugs are thoroughly pre-inspected with our custom reporting and photo documentation. We will answer any questions you may have and provide a to-the-penny quote. STEP 2: DRY SOIL REMOVAL Up to 80% of all soil in a rug is dry soil. Shag rugs, woven rugs, and wool hand-knotted rugs are specifically designed to hide dry soil. We use several techniques to dust, agitate, and vacuum the front and back of your rug to ensure maximum removal of dry soil. STEP 3: DYE TEST & PROTECTION All rugs are tested for dye stability and when necessary, are treated prior to cleaning with a dye stabilizer to ensure safe cleaning without the risk of color migration. After this application, your rug will enter into the wash phase where it will receive a thorough immersion. STEP 4: PRE-SPOTTING & CONDITIONING Each area rug is treated individually depending on fiber type and soil level. Rugs are then pre-treated as necessary to assist in breaking down and suspending the soils. Any problem areas or spots will be treated appropriately to increase the chances of removal. STEP 5: SOIL SUSPENSION/SHAMPOO Your rug will then enter into the wash phase where it will receive a thorough immersion. We carefully select gentle cleaning agents based on your rug's condition. Rugs with stubborn contaminants, such as pet urine, are submerged for an extended period to guarantee their complete removal. STEP 6: RINSE & FRINGE CLEANING After the rug is thoroughly washed, , we then run your rug through two consecutive back-to-back fresh water rinse phases to ensure all cleaning agents have been removed. Then fringes are cleaned, rinsed and groomed before the rug goes to to the drying area. STEP 7: DRYING While the rug is drying, it will be groomed, the pile will be set and it will be finished with the appropriate tools made specifically for your rug type. After the rug is completely dry, it will then be vacuumed and prepped for the final detailing processes. STEP 8: FINAL DETAILING Once the rug is dry, we groom the fringes and hand comb and trim fringe edges for the final touch to a beautifully clean, fresh, vibrant and restored rug. We vacuum the rug again, trim any loose fibers, and do one final inspection to make sure the rug cleaning results satisfy our high standards. STEP 9: FINAL INSPECTION/DELIVERY A facility manager will next perform a meticulous, inch-by-inch, post-cleaning inspection of your rug. If the manager feels that any area can be cleaned further, your rug will be sent back to for further cleaning. Upon passing inspection, your rug is rolled and prepped for delivery back to you.
